RUGBY ON THE PLAINS
KEREPEEHI CLUB MEETS OFFICERS FQR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Kerepeehi Football Club was held in the Kerepeehi Hall on Wednesday, Apiil 11. Mr W. Bailey, presided. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr C. F. Pearce; president, Mr W. Bailey; secretary, Mr B. A. Burton; treasurer, Mr C. Harvey; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Millington, C. Nicholson, F. Chick, J. Quinn, H. Collins, F. Bartley, G. McGowan, A. Hayes, A. Cole, H. Stone, W. M. Thompson, T. Jordan, J. M. Thompson, I. Poland, F. Patterson, . R. Harvey, J. Godkin; management committee, Messrs I. Poland, A. Cole, A. Hayes, C. Nicholson; selector, Mr I. Poland; delegates, Messrs I. Poland, A. Cole, A. Hayes, C. Nicholson, W. Bailey; referees, Messrs I. Poland, A. Cole, K. Menzies. It was decided that subscriptions be 7s 6d, the same as last season.
Mr A. Cole donated a football to the club. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr Cole and carried by acclamation.
The secretary was instructed to advertise in the Hauraki Plains Gazette that a practice would be held on April 29.
It was decided to select a social committee and those elected were Messrs T. Stone, C. Harvey, G. Innis, JE. Dennison.
The secretary was instructed to send letters of condolence to Mr and Mrs H. Elvin and Mr and Mrs J. Fisher.
A vote of thanks was accorded Mr W. Bailey for the use of his paddock for a football ground. Carried by acclamation.
A working bee was arranged to prepare the field for playing.
