Lieut. P. Williams and Pte. Brooks Hamblin, returned to 'Paeroa this, morning, being part of a party of sick .and wounded men recently returned from the Middle East. Both men were met at the Paeroa Railway Station by His Worship the Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards and transport was available to convey them to their homes. Leading-Aircraftman Monte Mayo was a visitor to friends-in. Paeroalast week-end. Air Force Cadet<J. Radich, son of Mr J. Radich, Miranda road, Wartakaruru has been on leave and has now been posted to a South Island air station. Mr A. Osbaldiston, of Whakatane, spent the week-end as the guest of Mr and Mrs J. E. Bartley, Ngatea.
