Public Notices BOROUGH~OF~ pAEROA~ ELECTION OF MAYOR AND COUNCILLORS Pursuant to Sections 23 and 44 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and Section 7 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1925 and Amendments thereto I hereby give notice that an election will be held on SATURDAY the 27th. day of May 1944 for the purpose of electing: A MAYOR for the Borough AT EIGHT COUNCILLORS for the Borough of Paeroa, and I hereby appoint the Borough Office, Normanby road, Paeroa ( as the place, and SATURDAY the 13th. day' of May 1444 (before noon) as the day for the nomination of Candidates for such office. Nomination papers may be obtained on application to the Returning Officer and every Candidate shall at the time of nomination deposit with the Returning Officer the sum of £lO in the case of the Mayor and £3 in the case of a Councillor which shall be dealt with according to law.
ELECTION OF ONE REPRESENTATIVE ON THE THAMES HOSPITAL BOARD. Pursuant to Section 16 of The Hospital Charitable Institutions Act, 1926 and Section 7 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1925 and Amendments thereto I hereby give notice that an election will be held on SATURDAY the 27th. day of May 1944 for the purpose of electing ONE Representative of the Borough of Paeroa on the Thames Hospital Board and I hereby appoint the Borough Office, Normanby road, Paeroa, as the place and SATURDAY the 13th. day of May 1944 (before noon) as the day for the nomination of Candidates for such office. Nomination papers may be obtained on application to the Returning Officer and every Candidate shall at the time of nomination deposit with the Returning Officer the sum of £3 which shall be dealt with according to law.
