DAIRY STOCK SELLS WELL BEEF EASES IN VALUE There was a very large yarding of all classes of cattle at the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency . Go. Ltd’s, fortnightly sale held at Paeroa on Monday. Good quality dairy cows, close to profit, were in keen demand while beef showed an easing tendency. Boners and bulls sold on a par with recent rates. Best quality dairy cows made from £7 10s' to £8 15s; medium quality, £6 5s to £7; backward and inferior, £4 5s to £5 15s; best quality heifers, £6 15s to £7 fis; medium, £6 to £6 10s; lighter, £5 5s to £5 15s; heavy boners, £3 15s to £4 2s fid; medium, £3 to £3 10s; light, £2 10s to £2 Ifis. Wether hoggets made to 31s; ewes' to 17s. Yearling Jersey heifer calves, £3 5s to £3 17s; empty 2-year-old heifers* £2 10s to £3 15s. Potter bulls sold 1 according to weight from £4 5® to £8 2s 6d. HEIFER BALE LARGE YARDING AT PAEROA The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their special heifer sale conducted in the Paeroa yards on Friday last there was a very large yarding of all classes of heifers.
