SOME OPPOSITION
COUNTY LOAN PROPOSAL VOTING AT THE MEETING FIVE FOR AND THREE AGAINST “That the schedule of loan proposals as attached hereto be hereby approved by this council and that the necessary steps be now put in motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to raise the loan,” was a resolution moved by the chairman, Mr C. C. Rae and seconded by Cr. A. Watkins at the April meeting of the Coromandel County Council. Voting- on the resolution was as under: — For. —Messrs C. C. Rae, A. Watkins, J. G. .Strongman, E. M. Minifie, J. E. Jackson. Against.—Messrs C. S. A. Geard, A. J. Denize and H. C. Bull. The resolution was carried.
