NETHERTON INSTITUTE MEETS OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Netherton Women’s Institute was held in the Netherton 'Hall on Thursday, March 23. Several new members were enrolled and' Khaki wool distributed. Officers elected for* the coming year were: — President, Mrs A. F. Maude; vicepresidents, Mrs J. A. Reid, Mrs L. C. Sanderson; secretary and treasurer, Mrs C. A. .Stembridge; press correspondent, Mrs C. Townshend. A bring and buy stall was held during the afternoon, and in spite of the weather was. fairly well patronised and a small sum raised. Miss Daphne Fisher kindly rendered vocal items which were very much appreciated by all. Afternoon tea was served and the president, Mrs Maude, thanked everybody present for their co-operation during the year.
