Mi* P. Murphy, postmaster at the Turua Post Office is on vacation. . Mr H. Parsonage, of the National Service Department, Wellington, has been visiting Paeroa to discuss policy matters with Mr R. W. Chappell and Mr A. Ripley. Mr Cairns of Wanganui, is visiting hisi daughter, Mrs H. Robinson, of Hikutaia. Messrs R. Roberts and D. Jessop of Auckland, were the guests of Mrs M. Hanlen, of Hikutaia during the Easter holidays. Mr D. Healey, of Hikutaia, was a visitor to Auckland during the Easter week-end. Sgt. V. Alley spent the holiday week-end with his wife and family at Hikutaia. Mr A. Lowry of Hikptaia, spent the holiday week-end in'Auckland. Sgt. 'R. Clark spent the holiday week-end with his wife and) family at Hikutaia. Mr B. A. Kelly of Hikutaia, spent the holiday week-end in Auckland. Mr T. Dunwoodie, of New Brighton was a visitor to Hikutaia for the week-end. Mr G. Stewart, manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, Paeroa, has received advice of his transfer to Waiuku. Mr Stewart takes up his new position on May 22. Mr L. A. Clark, manager of the Reefton branch, will succeed Mr Stewart at Paeroa. Messrs B. Laing, J. Hemingway, R. Simmonds, J. O’Brien, members of the Devonport Fire Brigade were the guests of Mr and Mrs J. E. Bartley, Hotel Ngatea, on their return from the Easter Fire Brigade Competitions held at Thames.
