DAIRIES CLOSE TO PROFIT AVERAGE YARDING AT PAEROA The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report that at their fortnightly stock sale held in Paeroa on Tuesday there was a good average yarding of close-up cattle. Dairy cows close to profit were again in keen demand while beef cattle sold on a par with recent rates. Best dairy cows and heifers made from £8 to £lO 10s; medium quality, £6 10s to. £7 15s; backward and) inferior, £4 10s to £6 ss; prime beef cows and heifers 1 , £7 10s to £8 ss; medium, £6 6s to £6 15 s; lighter, £5 10s to £6; unfinished, £4 10s to £5 10s; heavy boners, £3 10s- to £4 ss; medium, £2 15s to £3 10s; light, £2 to £2 15s; store lambs, to 13s; store 2-tooth wethers, from 18s 9d to 25s 3d; aged ewes, to 7s 6d; small mixed coloured heifers, r.w.'b. £5 10s to £6; 3-year-old Holstein steers, to £7; 2-year-old Holstein steers, to £5 ss; potter bulls sold according to weight from £4 10s to £B.
