PERSONAL

Mr F. Klaus, of Morrinsville, was a visitoi* to Paeroa last week-end. Mr J. Campbell of Auckland, has been spending a few days in Paeroa. •Mr G. R. O. Mulholland, of Pukekohe, who was to have taken over the position as Chief Postmaster for Thames in succession to Mr W. A. Sawyer, on April 1 next, suffered a serious illness when on holiday in Thames and has since been an inmate of the hospital. The fact that Mr Mulholland will not 'be able to take up his duties in Thames at the date specified for his appointment will not affect the retirement of Mr Sawyer. It is likely, because of Mr Mulholland’s illness, that a fresh appointment will be made for the position of Chief Postmaster at Thames.
