FAIRLY CLEAN STATE
LITTLE FLOWERING RAGWORT POSITION ON HAURAKI PLAINS “The county in general is in fairly clean state hut there are still people who will let one or two flowering ragwort plants go untouched, chiefly because they are of the opinion that little harm would be done in letting them go,” reported the Noxious Weeds Inspector, Mr W. W. Williams, to the monthly meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. The report added: — “ I had occasion to call as many as four times-on'the same offender for different plants. “My offer to supply labour, for eradication was taken advantage o by one person only. “The council’s property at Puriri was thoroughly inspected and I discovered a gully that to all a PP® ar " ances has had little or no attention in the past, probably due to bad access. This particular part will neejl and will get early attention “Blackberry is being dealt witn quite well in all areas. “Since the stock of Atlacide ran out I have distributed over £4o' worth of liquid weed killer.
