CAPACITY YARDING
DAIRY STOCK IN DEMAND VALUES AT PAEROA SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agencq Company report that at their fortnightly sale held at Paeroa on Monday there was a capacity yarding and right throughout prices showed a decided improvement in every section. Close-up dairy cows were in heavy demand and made up to' £l2 while the yearling heifers of which there was a large yarding were keenly sought after. They quote:— Best quality dairy cows and heifers close to profit, £9 to £l2; medium, £7 to £9; backward arid inferior, £4 IQs to £5 10s; best quality cows and heifers, r.w.b., £6 to £7; medium, £5 10s to £6 15s; prime beef cows and heifers, £6 10s to £7 15s; medium quality, £5 10s to £6 ss; light and unfinished, IDs to £5 ss; heavy hon—ers, £4 to £4 12s; medium, £3 IDs to £3 19s; light, £2 15s to £3 ss. Good quality store lambs, 13s 6d to 15s 6d; medium quality, 10s to 12s; best quality weaner heifer calves, £4 to £4 7s 6d; medium quality, £3 5s to £3 15s; small, £2 5s to £2 15s. Empty two-year heifers, £2 to £3 15s; 18-months Shorthorn steers, £5 to £6; two-year mixed colour steers, to £6 7s 6d. Potter bulls sold accord* nag to weight from £4 10s to £9.
