FARMERS WARNED
SPREAD OF BATHURST BURR POSITION ON HAURAKI PLAINS That Bathurfet burr was becoming a pest on the Hauraki Plains, especially in the Kopuarahi district, was reported by the Noxious Weeds Inspector, Mr W. W. Williams, to the March meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. The report read as under: — “Bathurst burr, a noxious weed of a particularly bad type, seems to have been chiefly in the * Kopuarahi District some time, but it is only of late that I have discovered it. “ Farmers will have to pay more attention to its eradication than has been the case in the past.
