SOCIAL SECURITY TAX GIRLS IN LAND ARMY Would the Minister of Finance favourably consider exempting girls of the Land Army from National Security and Wage Tax? asked Mr A. S. .Sutherland, National M.P. for Hauraki in the House of Representatives. He said that women in the Armed Forces were at present exempt from these taxes. Girls of the Land Army were doing work of national importance in furthering the war effort in the field of primary production, and' their work was arduous.
