ACTION WANTED
COAL-MINING INDUSTRY FARMERS’ UNION REMIT “ That this meeting views with serious alarm the condition of affairs that exists in the coalmining industry to-day when coalminers as a class have the power to restrict every branch of our farming and industrial life, and we call on the Government to take strong action to see that they are compelled to play their part in the nation’s war effort,” was a remit from the Paeroa branch passed at the meeting of the Thames Sub-Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union.
