Recreation In Pacific '
Recreation facilities “somewhere in the Pacific” are described by an Auckland soldier. Apart from swimming, he says that'water polo is played, and an area lias been cleared and a basketball court made “We have pictures now. too.” he writes. “A section of the bush has been cleared outback a little way so that no lights can be seen from the sea. Lately we lune averaged a showing about once a week. The drawback is the shortage of films and some of those shown we have seen before.”
