UPSIDE DOWN
THE WAY YOU LOOK AT IT ARTIST’S MASTERPIECE A young artist of the impressionistic school, of art went to the gallery to see how his masterpiece had been hung. When he reached the first pictire he was gratified to find a sizeable group of art-lovers gathered before it, but was shocked to discover it had been hung upside down. Hastening away to the chairman of the art committee, he complained bitterly about the injustice which had been done to his masterpiece. “But we have sold the picture for you." said the official placatingly. The artist brightened perceptibly.
“And. furthermore.” announced the official triumphantly, “by turning your picture upside down we got 61 dollars for it, whereas the price you had marked on it was only .19 dollars!"— Christian Science Monitor.
