“Louisiana Purchase,” the Paramount Technicolour extravaganza which will show at the Regent Theatre on Saturday and Monday, starring Bob Hope, Vera Zorina and Victor Moore, was produced by Buddy De Sylva, production chief at Paramount Pictures. A well-known Broadway producer, De Sylva also producedi the original stage version pf “Louisiana Purchase.” Among the recent hit shows produced by De Sylva are “Panama Hattie” and “Du Barry Was A Lady.” Featured in “Louisiana Purchase” are Irene Bordoni and Dona Drake. “Louisiana Purchase,” is the year’s most gorgeous show' in Technicolour. Laughter! Girls! Music! Dancing! The biggest Broadway hit of recent times. It ran for four weeks then they added Bob Hope with his quick-click comedy and music of Irving Berlin, including that popular hit of the day, ‘“Tomorrow is a Lovely Day,” then; Zorina, the beautiful and most graceful ■thing on two feet—and with her, Irene Bordoni and Victor Moore, plus the pageantry of a Mardi Gras in all technicolour and 10u Louisiana Lovelies, dazzling, bewitching* beauties—the result is a million dollar movie Mardi Gras, a carnival of cyclonic comedy. FINALLY TO-NIGHT DOUBLE FEATURE , “You’re In The Army Now,” and “Secret 1 Agent of Japan” will show finally to-night at the Regent Theatre.
