Plains County Council The monthly meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council was held at Ngatea on Wednesday, the chairman, Mr C. W. Parfitt, presiding. Others present were Messrs J. Mayn. W. H. Cheale, C. W. Schultz, F. Pinchess, A. H. Sutton, the county clerk, Mr E. A; Mahoney and the county engineer Mr J. C. Clarke. Leave of absence was granted Messrs D. G. McMillan, W. E. Hale and J. W. Young, Real Democracy candidate for Hauraki to a large and representative audience which carried a vote of 'thanks and confidence at Kerepeehi. Referring to Thames Harbour, under his proposals, Mr Young said that securities held by Government Departments would be cancelled, -and securities held by private persons and institutions would be bought up by the Reserve Bank and cancelled out of existence.
