10,500 A QUARTER

GARMENTS FOR THE R.N.Z.A.F. WORK OF AIR FORCE RELATIONS A quarterly output of 10.500 garments is the average for the Dominion of the Air Force Relations. Every man entering the Air Force is entitled to an issue of knitted comforts and may apply for a replacement of worn-out. garments. The demand for these comforts is increasing, and the monthly wool quota supplied by the National Partiotic Fund Board has recently been extended from 15001 b .to 25001 b. The work of the organisation .is not restricted to knitting, for with each bale of woollen wear sent overseas each month goes a case of tinned foods. Members of the Air Force Relations also help to provide staff for most servicemen’s clubs and canteens.
