ENJOYABLE EVENING

MANGATARATA SOCIAL CLUB SCHOOL FILLED TO CAPACITY On Friday evening last the Mangatarata Social Club held the most successful of their evenings to date. The school in which these socials are held was dfiLlled to capacity, and the dances which were part of the entertainment were thoroughly enjoyed. During the school holidays, dancing classes have been held to teach the younger generation, and the results were seen when those who had previously been debarred from dancing, took their turn .on the floor. Among those present were:— Mesdames 'Grey, Buchanan, O’Brien, Treadaway, Clark, Flynn, Leonard, Lawrence, Jellie, Archer, Henderson, L. Main, B. Main, Cropp, Taylor, Hall. Misses J. Buchanan, A. Buchanan, H. Buchanan, Williams, M. Flynn, J. Jackson (Ngatea), I. MacLennan, N. MacLennan (Ngatea), N. and C. Hall, I. Marshall, iPirie (Pukekohe). The statue waltz was won by Miss R. Buchanan and B. MacLennan; Monte' Carlo, Miss A. Buchanan and B. Paton and the dice competition by J. Whiteman and T. O’Brien. i The M.C. was Mr Jack Vine.
