A Churchill Comeback!

A story “got around” when Mr Churchill visited the Eighth Army and congratulated General Montgomery on his victory. The General, whom Mr Churchill has described as “a stern Cromwellian figure, said: “I don t smoke: I take plenty of exercise: I keep regular hours: I'm 100 per cent fit." Mr Churchill replied with a wave of his cigar: “I smoke; I take no exercise ; I keep irregular hours: and I'm 200 per cent fit!"
