WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING AT KEREPEEHI RESULTS OF THE COMPETITIONS * The monthly meeting of the Kerepeehi branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Kerepeehi Hall recently. Mrs A. L. Fisher presided over a fair attendance of members. The president read the sub-provin-cial report. The secretary read the (balance sheet of the card evenings held in aid of the Kerepeehi Soldiers’ Parcel Fund. The evenings have 'been a success both socially and financially. Donations to the fund were received from Kerepeehi Sports and Racing Club, Mr and Mrs W. Bailey, Mr and Mrs W. Chick and Mr W. Booth. A general discussion took place regarding dressmaking classes. Competition results.—Sponge sandwish: Mrs R. Harvey. 1, Mrs V. Strong 2, Mrs C. Poland 3. Next month’s competition will be shortbread suitable for sending overseas. !
