CARD EVENING
FUNCTION HELD IN PAEROA PATRIOTIC FUNDS AIDED A card evening organised by the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee was held in the Civic Hall on Wednesday evening, being attended by a good. muster of 50'0 players and a small l number of .bridge enthusiasts. The prizes were won as under:— Five hundred.—Ladies: Mesdames Heappy and: McMullin, dead heat, first. Men: Staff-Sgt. J. Sinnett and Mr J. (Schuler, dead heat, first; consolation, Mr A. Bourne. Bridge.—Ladies: Mrs W. A. Cl Stewart, first; Mrs M. O. Parry, consolation. Men: Mr R. Buckrell first; consolation, Mr H. May. Competitions held during the evening were won by Mr R. A. Mace and Mrs McMullin. As a result of the functioii the 1943 All Purposes Appeal will benefit by some £2. s ,
