Public Notices NETHERTON DRAINAGE BOARD RATES FOR 1943-44. NOTICE is hereby given in terms of Section 54 of the Rating Act, 1925, that it is the intention of the Netherton Drainage Board, at its meeting to be held in the Netherton Hall, Netherton, on Thursday, the 23rd. day of September, 1943 at 1 p.m. to make and levy under Section 31 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913, a General Rate upon the unimproved value and upon a graduated scale, according to classification of lands within the several Subdivisions of the Netherton Drainage Board as follows: Within the Northern Subdivision upon all Lands classified “A” 3 and three-fifths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “B” 2 and two-fifths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “C” 1 and one-fifth pence in the £. Within the Awaiti Subdivision upon all lands classified “A” 3 and three-tenths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “B” 2 and two-tenths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “G” 1 and one-tenth pence in the £. Within the “H” Drain Subdivision upon all lands classified “A” 3 and nine-tenths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “B” 2 and six-tenths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “C” 1 and three-tenths pence in the £.
All the above Rates shall be for the period commencing On the Ist. day of April, 1943 and ending on the 31st. day of March 1944 and be payable to the Clerk to the board on the 28th. day of October, 1943, at his Office, Turua Buildings, Turua. A Rebate of 5 per cent, will be allowed on the amount of all Rates paid within 30 days of due date.
The Rate Book and Valuation Roll are open for inspection during office hours at the office of the undersigned. I ALLAN WALLACE WIGHT, ’ of Wood Street, Paeroa, hereby given notice that I have applied to the Magistrate’s Court at Paeroa for a licence under the Land Agents Act, 1921-22, to carry on business as a land agent at Paeroa and that such application will be heard at the above 'Court after one month from the 27th. day of August, 1943, being the date of the first publication of this notice.
