TEN MONTHS’ KILLINGS AN INCREASE REPORTED The official figures of killings for the present season at the Dominion’s freezing works from October 1 to July 31. as issued by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, show that lamb killings now total 10,957.246 carcases, compared with 11,061,953 carcases to August 1 last season, this being a decrease of 104.707 carcases.

Wether mutton killings are 609,450 earcases, and ewe mutton killings 1.713.485 carcases, compared with 757,039 and 1.961,528 carcases respectively last season.

Frozen beef production has reached 560,539 quarters compared with 628,107

quarters last season.
