EVENINGS AT MANGATAR ATA effort to secure hall The residents of Mangatarata have recently formed, a social club which meets on alternate Saturday nights. The object of the club is to foster neighbourliness, and to eventually find sufficient funds to fill in a long-felt want, a public hall. Meantime the social evenings held in the school are proving a great success, being well attended. It is the intention of the committee to hand, over to the Soldiers’ Parcel Fund £6 yearly, and so far- part of this has been paid over. Members of the committee are Mr Leonard (chairman), Mr O’Brien (secretary) and Messrs Buchanan, Flynn and Grey.
