FIFTEEN WARNINGS

TRAFFIC IN OHINEMURI COUNTY SPEED OF HEAVY VEHICLES The report of the Ohinemuri County Traffic Inspector, Mr R. Doggett, for the three months of May, June and July, as received at the August meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, showed that 13 applicants for drivers’ licences were tested, and all had passed the tests. Fifteen warnings had been issued in respect of various traffic offences, and four traffic offence notifications issued, these comprising one for failing to keep to the left and for having- no current driving licence, one for having- no driver’s licence, and for expiry of warrant of fitness, one for exceeding- the number of passengers allowed in a taxi-cab, and one for exceeding the heavy motor vehicle speed limit. Special attention had been given to the speed of heavy vehicles. The report was adopted.
