CARD EVENING
PAEROA NATIONAL PARTY VERY SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION A very successful card evening organised by the Paeroa branch of the New Zealand National Party was held in the Parish Hall on Monday, night when bridge, five hundred and mah jongg was played. There was a good attendance of players. The ..following were the winners:— Bridge.—Ladies: Miss R. Dickson. Consolation, Mrs G. Stewart. Men: Mr A. E. Day. Consolation, Major G. Murray. Five hundred. —Ladies: Miss G. McQuillan. Consolation, Mrs L. Henwood. Men: Mr H. C. Jackson. Consolation, Mr Kennedy. An excellent supper was served by the ladies of the committee. CHEERIO BRIDGE CLUB • Miss ■M. Moore entertained the members of the Cheerio Bridge dub at her home on Tuesday evening when the first prize was won by Miss L. Thorp and the hidden number 'by Miss Moore.
