NEW COUNCILLOR
APPOINTMENT BY COUNTY MR S. H. THOMPSON OF WAIHI Mr S. H. Thompson, Ford road, Waihi, was, on the motion of Council- .. lor F. L. Franklin, appointed on Wednesday as representative of the Waihi riding, to fill the vacancy on the Ohinemuri County Council occasioned by the resignation of Councillor L. G. Leopold. The nomination of Councillor Thompson was made by the Waihi and Waihi West Ratepayers’ Association, and as it was the only nomination it was accepted by the council.
