TOWN DUMP

RUBBISH LEFT UNCOVERED LAXITY OF HOUSEHOLDERS The present condition of the town dump was a question discussed at Thursday night’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough. Council. Cr. E. S. Mobre said that of late the dump had been rather offensive due to vegetable matter being left uncovered. He reported also that some householders were merely dumping their rubbish just inside the gate and not at the tip head. He suggested that some more sand be put in the dump and a notice put up instructing users to dump all rubbish at the tip head and to cover offensive matter with the sand. It was agreed to carry out Cr. Moore’s suggestion.
