RUGBY IN PAEROA
TE AROHA WIN 12 TO 3 MATCH PLAYED IN RAIN Playing in continuous rain with the ground very heavy and the ball difficult to handle a Paeroa third grade team, playing two men short, was defeated by 12 points to three by the Te Aroha third-grade representatives in a match played on the Paeroa Domain on Saturday. Paeroa’s only score was secured by G. Vuglar while for Te Aroha B. Curran scored twice and G. Collins and McCaul each scored. Mr S. Keutenius was the referee. JUNIORS BEATEN GAME 'PLAYED AT TE AROHA The Paeroa Rugby Union’s junior representatives were defeated by nine points to three in a match played with Te Aroha at Te Aroha on Saturday. Paeroa were only able to field 13 men for the game and as Ryall retired hurt early in the match Paeroa played throughout with 12 men.
The only score for Paeroa was secured by A. Crosby.
