EPSOM TROTTING
THE AUGUST MEETING OPENING OF THE SEASON The 1943-44 trotting season will be inaugurated at Epsom on Saturday next, when the Auckland Trotting Club will hold, its August meeting. Solid acceptances have been received for all events, and the material is there for excellent contests. The following horses are likely to be favoured:— Introductory Handicap. — Forewarned, Etta Girl, Golden Journey. Orakei Handicap.—Mighty, Übakim, Suffragette. Grey Lynn Handicap.—Volo Senwood, Certify, Pinocchio. United Handicap.—Rockfel, Dunkirk, Bill Scott. August Handicap.—'Shadow Son, April Direct, 'Parrish Lad. Royal Oak Handicap.—lmperial Jade’ Home Guard Robie. Massey Memorial Handicap.—Modern Parrish, Master Lawn, Courier. Takanini Handicap. — Parshall, Double Peter, Josette.
