SPREAD OF GORSE & RAGWORT OHINEMURI COUNCIL COMMENT When the engineer to the Ohinemuri County Council, Mr L. E. Shaw, complained at Wednesday’s meeting of the council, of the extent to which scrub, and particularly gorse, made it difficult to keep certain roads v in repair because of: interference with the outlet of storm water, Councillor J..J. Shallue remarked: “It seems as if gorse and ragwort are becoming a menace to the county,” The engineer: “And that is quite true.”
