ROAD VIEW BLOCKED
WILLOWS ON WILLOUGHBY ST. TRAFFIC INSPECTOR’S REPORT Stating that they block the view of the Willoughby street and Thorp street intersection TrafficInspector R. B. Doggett recommended to Thursday night’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council that two willow trees covered with creepers be removed from Willoughby street. The inspector’s report read as under:— “ It is noticed that two willow trees covered with creepers on the corner section of Willoughby street and Thorp street have ' grown to such a height that they obscure the view of motorists proceeding along Willoughby street ’towards the Paeroa Domain. “ This growth, together with other physical- features, constitutes a potential source of danger to motorists approaching the corner as Thorp street is used extensively by school children. I would suggest that these trees be ' cut down or grubbed out.” Members agreed that the trees were a definite danger and it was agreed to refer the matter to the foreman for attention.
