GOOD YARDING OF STORE PIGS VALUES AT WAIHOU SALE The Fanners’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Ltd., report that at their stock sale held at Waihou on Thursday, a good yarding of all classes of sheep were keenly sought after, values remaining firm. A good yarding of beef and boner cattle came forward. Competition was steady, values being fully up to those ruling at other centres. Dairy cattle close to profit were in keen demand but low conditioned and backward sorts were dull of sale. There was a keen enquiry for a good yarding of store pigs, prices being on a par with other centres. ■Quotations: —

Sheep.—Medium fat wethers, to 325; fat ewes, to 27s 3d; fat hoggets, 29s to 29s 6d; medium,, 21s to 24s 6d; store hoggets, to 15s 6d.

Cattle. —Medium fat cows and heifers, £6 Ils to £7 16s; light, £5 10s to £6 ss; heavy boner cows, £4 to £5; medium, £3 to £3 15s; light, 35s to £2 15s; empty 2-year heifers, £2 10s to £3 8s; yearling Jersey and JerseyCross calves, £4 2s to £4 13s; Jersey and Jersey-cross heifers, close to profit, £l2 to £l3 10s; others, £8 10s to £ll 10s; later calvers, £6 15s to £8; heifers in milk, £8 to £l2; young Jersey and Jersey-cross cows, £8 to £10; later calvers, £5 15s to £7 15s; cows in milk, £8 to £lO.
