GOOD YARDING REPORTED Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly stock sale on Wednesday, August 9, when a good yarding met with keen competition. Fat cows, £7 to £8 2s 6d; light, £5 10s to £6 15s; heavy boners, £3 15s to £4 ss; others, £2 to £3; yearling Jersey heifers, good, £4 2s 6d to £5 4s; others, £2 12s 6d to £3 ss; dairy heifers, close to profit, £9 to £lO 15s; backward, £5 10s to £7 15s; calved heifers, £7 5s to £9; dairy cows close to profit, £8 10s to £lO 10s; backward £5 to £7. Fat ewes, 18s 9d; ewes in lamb and lambs at foot, 23s 6d; good store pigs, £2 3s to £2 12s; choppers, £5 to £5 ss.
