VALUES AT KOPU SALE DAIRY VALUES STEADY Messrs Dalgety and Co., report that there was a full yarding of dairies and a small yarding of beef and boner cattle at their Kopu sale held on Tuesday. Dairies sold under very steady, competition, cattle close to profit being
sought. Backward sorts showed slight improvement. Heifers realised to £lO and cows to £9 15s. No heavy beef was penned but medium weights sold under very keen competition to £8 15s 6d. Quotations: — Dairy heifers, close to profit, to £10; small well-conditioned heifers, £8 to £9 ss; backward, £5 15s to £7 10s; cows, close to profit, to £9 10s; other cows, £8 to £8 7s 6d; backward, £5 10s to £6 ss. Beef, medium weights, to £8 17s 6d; maiden heifers, to £8; lighter, £6 17s 6d to £7 ss«; heavy boners, to £5 7s; medium, £3 15s to £4 7s 6d; poor conditioned, £1 10s to £2 15s.
