VALLEY POWER BOARD REPORT OF THE MANAGER decrease for three months >A decrease in revenue amount£7so 7s lid for the three months ending June 30 was reported by the manager, Mr R. Sprague, to Tuesday’s meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board. The revenue for the three months was £52,494 15s 8d compared with £53,245 3s 7d for the same period last year. Expenditure for the same period decreased by £2743 8s 5d from £55,295 15s lid in 1942 to £52,552 7s 6d this year. The report added: —

“The gross sales of electricity for the period amounted to £52,474 5s 2d against £53,206 9s 6d for the same period in 1942, a reduction of £732 4s 4d. This reduction is the result of the discounts reduced recently. .The nett revenue was £43,753 19s 2d against £42,215 10s 3d, an increase of £1538 8s lid for the period. “The financial position shows, a similar positi6n to the corresponding period of last year, notwithstanding that very little additional loading has gone on the lines. “The following table shows the comparisons in the units sold for the two periods: — Lighting and domestic power.
