GLEN HOOK AS FULLBACK z FORMER THAMES RESIDENT Chosen to play fullback in the North Island reps, is Glen Hook, whose sister is Mrs W. Brunton, of .Wharepoa. Hook received his primary education at Thames, but played most of his first football in Auckland. Webster, the Wellington and Navy fullback, was expected, to be chosen for the position in the North Island team, but Hook was selected to fill the place. Glen is a brother to Lou Hook, a brilliant winger who featured in a number of games at Thames and later went on to,football fame elsewhere.
