SITTING IN COROMANDEL ASSAULT AND THEFT CHARGES A sitting of the Coromandel Court was held in Coromandel on Wednesday, July 21, Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M. presiding. Thomas. Savage was convicted and fined £2 10s, translation fee 5s for assaulting Kwok Lai Chuen. Harry Martin Gordon of Whitianga was charged with the theft of 3ilb. of butter paper. He was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months and ordered to pay costs £1 5s 4d.
