KOPUARAHI FAREWELL
L.A.C. BRAITHWAITE HONOURED PRESENTATION OF A CHEQUE A farewell evening to L.A.C. Tom Braithwaite was held at Kopuarahi recently. Mr L. James in presenting the guest of honour with a cheque spoke of the high esteem in which he was held. He had been educated at Kopuarahi School and his many friends wished him all the best and good luck. Mr P. Murphy, postmaster in charge of the Turua Post Office, also spoke in glowing terms of L.A.C. Braithwaite, who -had before joining the Air Force been employed in the Turua Post Office. He said he had always been a most obliging and conscientious lad and one of the best. He wished him good luck and a safe return. L.A.C. Braithwarfe in everyone for their good wishes, saying he hoped to be back amongst them all again soon. TH'e Monte.Carle, was won by Mi Christie anil
