THIEVES ACTIVE

PAEROA SHOP ENTERED LOSS DURING WEEK-END SOME FOODSTUFFS STOLEN . Thieves were active in Paeroa during the week-end, forcing an entrance into a shop and removing a quantity of goods. On Sunday afternoon it was discovered that two doors at the back of Wallace Supplies had been forced and entrance gained to the main shop. Both these doors had been locked, when the staff left the premises late Saturday afternoon. A quantity of foodstuffs had been removed although at present it is thought that the value of the goods taken is small. The police are investigating.
