RUGBY IN PAEROA
MARCHES ON SATURDAY PAEROA TO PLAY WAIHI THIRDS TO MEET HIGH SCHOOL The main rugby game in the Paeroa Domain on Saturday will be the match between the Paeroa junior representatives and Waihi, and according to reports an interesting match should be seen. > The Paeroa team as picked by the selectors can be depended upon to give a good account of itself, while Waihi, who this year have a large number of junior players to choose from will assuredly make the local team play right up to its 'best form if it wishes to retain its undefeated record of the season. The Paeroa team will be:— Full-back.—C. Speechlay. Three-quarters.—G. Fulton, W. Shilton, A. Crosby. Five-eighths.—R. Baker, K. Ryall. Half-back.—F. Chaney. Forwards.—J. Murphy, R. Pearson, G. 'Smith, W. Strong, R. Neil, N. Hansen, N. Vinnicombe,. W. Niven. Emergencies.— W. McKain, D. Bennett.
Mr C. Linden, of Waihi, will referee the match.
As a curtain-raiser to the main game on the Paeroa Domain the thirdgrade team will meet High School. The third grade team will be selected from the following players:— \ P. Gage, D. Bennett, Prout, D. McNeill, M. Wallen, A. Pearson, J. Kurtovich, F. Treanor, G. Chaney, A. Finlay, K. Barratt, A. Jane, £R. Jessen, L. Handley, B. Neil, J. Herekuiha, E. Carlton.
