Anzac Day In Scotland
Anzac Day was marked at an air training station in Scotland by New Zealand and Australian airmen being the guests of a Scottish women’s organisation. A New Zealand airman, writing home, says: “New Zealand’s national dish—roast lamb, mint sauce, green peas and potatoes—was the principal item on the menu. At supper time the cook was piped in with a large haggis, according to true Scottish custom.”
