DOMINION W.D.F.U.

EXECUTIVE MEETING HELD REPLICA OF A SPITFIRE One hundred and Ally delegates attended the Dominion executive meeting of the W.D.F.U., held in Wellington recently. At a social gathering, the Dominion president, Mrs W. Orr, on behalf of the division, presented a replica of a Spitfire aeroplanes in paua shell and silver to Mrs Noel Adams, who was president from 1939 until 1942, when ill-health compelled her to relinquish office. Mrs Orr spoke warmly of Mrs Adams’ help and generosity to the division, especially at the tinie when its members collected £5OOO in a few weeks to buy a Spitfire for Britain.
