BOMBER: This Italian submarine lying on the surface in the Mediterranean, was surprised by a “Sunderland” aircraft of Coastal Command and attacked, with bombs. When the “Sunderland” left the spot, the submarine, he reported, had received damage to the outer casing, which app eared to be bent back new the bows.
