PLAYETTE AT NGATEA

INSTITUTE CUP WINNNER LARGE CROWD SEE “RED WAX” A large and appreciative crowd attended the Ngatea Women’s Institute presentation of the playette, “Red Wax,” which was given in the Ngatea Public Hall on Thursday evening last. The cast of “Red Wax,” which won the Grace Phillips Memorial Cup for Ngatea Institute at the Auckland Federation Conference in May, was Miss A. Paul, Mrs S. Coppins, Mrs M. Grbich, Mrs T. Hughes, Mrs J. Lee and Mi'ss A. Dalgety. Others items during the evening were, vocal duets, Misses N. and D.

Sherlock; solos, Mrs R. Standrin (Waitakaruru) and Mr C. Urry; playette, “Flo Wins The Day,” Ngatea Women’s Institute; trio, Misses Sherlock and M. Murray. .Accompaniments were played by Mr Smith Snr., and Mr Urry. After a delicious supper dancing was enjoyed, music being supplied by Mrs C. H. Waite, Miss I. Jackson and Mr Douglas Johnson. Mr E. R. Sherlock was M.C.

Small holes in any saucepan can be mended with aluminium paint. On the outside of the saucepan give two coats of paint and let dry thoroughly it is easier than soldering and never wears off, heat only making the paint harder. I am using one I did six months ago.
