DECORATION FROM U.S.A. MRS W. F. F. FABER’S BROTHER News has just been received by Mrs W. F. Faber, of Normanby Road, Paeroa, that her only brother, Flying-Officer Donald Norman Farquhar, of the Royal Australian Air Force, has received a decbration from President Roosevelt, the Distinguished Service Medal, for valiant and conspicuous service, while flying with the Americans in Northern Australia. Flying-Officer Farquhar was badly wounded last September in operations over New Guinea, receiving severe head and facial injuries and losing his sight.
