PAEROA PUBLIC LIBRARY MEETING OF COMMITTEE READING ROOM NOT USED (From the Ohinemuri Gazette of July 16, 1903.) A meeting of members of the Paeroa Public Library and Reading Room was held on Friday evening, Mr Hay presiding. The other members present were Miss Shaw, Messrs Corkill, Inglis, Kenny, Tetley, Niccol and Searle (secretary). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary was instructed to apply to the County Council for a donation towards the library funds. , The question of holding a concert in aid of the funds was discussed, but the matter was postponed until the next meeting. Mr A. Tetley offered to supply a cover for the table in the library, and the offer was received with thanks. Attention was drawn to the fact that the reading room does not receive the patronage that it merits, considering the large variety of magazines and newspapers supplied. The committee decided that if the reading room is not patronised better, that it will be opened only three times a week instead of every afternoon and evening as at present. iniiiihiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiruniiiiiiiiiuiiiiiiHithiiiniiiiliiiiiiiiiiu-iiihiiiiiiiuiiiiiHui.iiiiuiaiiiti
