FAREWELL EVENING

BIBLE CLASS FUNCTION MISS RAE LANDMAN HONOURED The members of the Paeroa Presbyterian Senior Bible Class met at the home of Mr and Mrs L. V. Landman on Tuesday to farewell one of their members, Miss Rae Landman. A very pleasant evening was spent in games, items and comrftunity singing. At a suitable interval a delicious supper was served. . After supper Mrs J. M. Craig, leader of the class, rose and after thanking the . host and hostess for the very pleasant supper thanked all members for their attendance and for. the numerous items which had been rendered throughout the evening.

In making a presentation, she said that Rae had been one of the staunchest and best members of the Bible class and had been ever ready to do more than her share. Though all'were sorry to see her leave she hoped that it would not be long before Rae would be again participating in the class’s activities. Mrs Craig then asked Rae to accept a gift as a small token of the class’s high esteem.

Miss Landman, in reply, said that she too, was sorry to have to leave, and that she also hoped that it would not he long before she was back again to her old place in the class. In accepting the gift she thanked one and all, 'both for their gift and their attendance. Musical honours were then heartily accorded her, followed by a vote of thanks carried by acclamation to the host and hostess. j The evening was concluded by a ' prayer from Mrs R. Jutson.
